A conference entitled "Health tourism in Azerbaijan: opportunities for development" has today kicked off in the city of Shusha.
Hosted by the State Tourism Agency, the event brings together officials of the State Tourism Agency, Special Representative Offices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Health, and approximately 200 experts in the field of health and medical tourism from Azerbaijan and a number of foreign countries.
The conference will feature panel sessions on "Azerbaijan as a health tourism destination: Current situation and opportunities", "Global and successful practices in the health tourism: proposals for Azerbaijan", "Azerbaijan medical tourism: Future vision and strategy". A health tourism industry exhibition will be also launched here.
