Azerbaijan Army’s Chief of General Staff meets with commanders and chiefs attending sessions at Military Administration Institute

The Military Administration Institute of the National Defense University hosted sessions with the participation of brigade commanders and their deputies, as well as operational and combat training branches (units) chiefs, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

The graduation ceremony held at the Azerbaijan Army's Training and Educational Center on the occasion of the completion of sessions was attended by First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev and other senior staff of the Ministry.

First, the memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Chief of the General Staff greeted participants on behalf of Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, congratulated them on the successful completion of the sessions and wished them success in their future military service.

Colonel General K. Valiyev spoke about the reforms carried out in the Azerbaijan Army under the instruction of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, emphasizing that the training of professional officers in line with current requirements is one of the priority issues.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense highlighted the importance of presentation of JF-17C (Block-III) multirole fighter jets to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the International Defense Exhibition ADEX held in Baku.

In the end, the personnel who successfully completed the sessions were awarded certificates.
