On September 16, the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music - one of Rome's leading music education centers - will host a concert program as part of the 17th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival in Rome, Italy.
Supported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, the concert will feature works by Uzeyir Hajibeyli - the founder of Azerbaijani classical music - alongside compositions by Fikret Amirov, Tofig Guliyev, and Muslim Magomayev, as well as pieces by renowned international composers.
The evening will also include performances by opera singer Chinara Shirin and pianist Svetlana Kosyatova.
Audiences will be treated to a vibrant showcase of Azerbaijani culture through the “Ritm” dance group, which will present traditional national dances, folk music, and a dynamic naghara (drum) performance.
Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, the 17th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival will run from September 18 to 28. As part of the festival, a series of concerts and cultural events will be presented in different regions around the world.
