The collection of stories “Five Minutes and Eternity”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Azerbaijani People’s writer Elchin, has been published in Russia.
The book, released as part of the joint project of Azerbaijan’s State Translation Centre and the Russian Institute for Literary Translation, was released by the prominent Russian Rudomino Book Centre Publishing House.
The book includes Elchin’s famous short stories, such as “The Rose Said to the Nightingale...”, “The Yellow Jacket”, “Train. Picasso. Latour. 1968.”, “Fivepenny Motorcycle”, “The Red Bear Cub”, “In Ten Years”, “Silver, Orange, Velvety”, “Baladadash’s First Love”, “Trains Leave This World”, “Five Minutes and Eternity.”
The authors of the translations into Russian are notable translators I. Zolotussky, G. Mitin, A. Orlov, and the editor is Y. Fridshtein.
