Prague hosts presentation of film about Azerbaijan

A presentation of a film dedicated to Azerbaijan, prepared by TV Studio Ostrava with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Czech Republic, has been held in Prague.

 

The 13-episode short film, which is a product of the project "Azerbaijan through the eyes of Petr Voldán", highlights various corners of Azerbaijan, culture, history and daily life of the Azerbaijani people.

 

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Czech Republic Adish Mammadov expressed his gratitude to the director of the film Petr Voldán and everyone who contributed to the production of the film. The ambassador pointed out that in recent years, 3 books comprising the works of Azerbaijani writers had been translated into the Czech language and published with the direct organization and support of the Azerbaijani embassy.

 

The diplomat also highlighted the tolerant and multicultural society in Azerbaijan, as well as the country’s role in economic and political life of the region under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev as well as its contributions to the global economic system.

 

Speaking at the event, Director of the film Petr Voldán and the creative team shared their impressions about Azerbaijan.

 

The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Czech public, academic staff of Charles University, as well as Azerbaijanis living in the Czech Republic.
