Classical concert night organized in St. Petersburg on occasion of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev's centenary

A gala-concert dedicated to the centenary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijan, an outstanding statesman, was held in the Tauride Palace, in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The event was held with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and through the joint organization of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg and the administration of the Tauride Palace.

The representatives of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the Ministry of Culture, the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg, the Russian representative office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Consulate General of Türkiye in St. Petersburg, as well as the members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, local government bodies and local society attended the concert.

Symphony Orchestra of the Leningrad region presented a concert program consisting of classical works of Azerbaijani, Russian and foreign composers. Honored artists of Azerbaijan Elnara Mammadova, Regina Rustamova, soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre Maharram Huseynov and Hamid Abdulov performed at the concert, which was conducted by People's Artist of Azerbaijan Yalchin Adigozalov.

The concert aroused much interest and met with applause.
