Solidarity Forum of NGOs from OTS Member Countries continues in Nakhchivan

The Solidarity Forum of NGOs from the Member Countries of the Organization of Turkic States, which began yesterday in Baku, continued today in Nakhchivan.

In her opening address, Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the Agency for State Support to NGOs, highlighted the significance of the forum, noting that joint projects with Turkic states have recently become a recurring series.

For his part, Jeyhun Jalilov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, highlighted the symbolic meaning of holding the Solidarity Forum in the city where the "Nakhchivan Agreement" was signed in 2009.

Tural Aliyev, Tural Aliyev, NGO affairs sector head at the Department for Work with NGOs and Communication of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, stated:

“Today, for the first time, NGOs from member countries of the Organization of Turkic States are uniting on a single platform here on the ancient land of Nakhchivan. This is a joyful and historic day for the entire Turkic world, a moment of great happiness!

Through our joint efforts, we must ensure that in the coming period, bilateral and multilateral grant competitions for NGOs in the fields of history, culture, ecology, climate policy and other areas gain broad momentum among Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.”

The forum continued with panel discussions.
