Five Turkic-speaking countries sign memorandum on mutual scientific cooperation in filed of oncology

Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of oncology following the opening ceremony of the First Congress of Oncologists of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States.

The memorandum outlines plans for the exchange of experience among oncologists, the continuation of joint scientific and practical activities, and the implementation of collaborative scientific research.

“Today marks a significant milestone not only for Azerbaijan but also in the oncology history of all Turkic-speaking states. The first-ever gathering of oncologists from the Turkic world in Azerbaijan is a remarkable event,” said Azad Karimli, Chief Oncologist of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health and Chief Physician of the National Center of Oncology, in a statement to journalists.
