Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif begins two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif began a two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister will meet with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and regional peace and security.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will also express gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its constructive role in helping de-escalate the recent Pakistan-India conflict.

The visit, which takes place from June 5 to 6, coincides with the Eid al-Adha holiday. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is accompanied by a high-level delegation.
