A conference on the theme "Implementation of artificial intelligence in agricultural practices" was held as part of the 2nd International Agrarian Innovation Forum in Baku on Wednesday.
The event was held within the framework of the 18th Azerbaijan International Agriculture - Caspian Agro exhibition.
Addressing the forum, Anar Jafarov, Director of the ASOIU Digital Development and Innovation Center, said that the format of the Azerbaijan International Agriculture Caspian Agro and Azerbaijan International Food Industry InterFood Azerbaijan exhibitions will be changed starting next year.
According to him, the exhibitions will be arranged as part of "Baku Agro Week,” which will open broader opportunities for cooperation for more entrepreneurs and agricultural entities.
Ziya Ismayilov, General Manager for Operations at the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy, mentioned that Azerbaijan is applying the locally produced AI technology in the agricultural sector.
Attilio Somma, Head of Department at TIM International LLC, mentioned that the implementation of AI for large projects in Azerbaijani agroparks can boost opportunities there.
Leyla Hajiyeva, Head of the Innovation and Digital Development Department of “Digital Umbrella” LLC, underlined that implementing AI in agriculture has been constantly rising in recent years, adding that AI can help provide accurate information and forecasts regarding the agricultural sector.
Jamal Hajiyev, a representative of Sabah.Hub, emphasized that Azerbaijan has great opportunities for both the development of agriculture and the implementation of AI in this field.
