First Europe and CIS Postal Leaders Forum gets underway in Baku

The First Europe and CIS Postal Leaders Forum under the theme “Next Horizons: Navigating E-commerce, Innovation, and Supply Chain for Future Excellence” has today kicked off in Baku.

The Forum is co-organized by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan and Azerpost - operating under the Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding (AZCON).

Held for the first time in the Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, the forum, will bring together more than 150 high-level participants from over 30 countries. Attendees will include senior officials from national postal services, industry experts, academic institutions, technology providers, and e-commerce companies.

The forum aims to serve as a strategic platform for regional discussion and benchmarking, knowledge exchange, and innovation. Discussions will center on the transformation of the postal sector in response to global trends and digital disruption. Key agenda topics include the growing role of e-commerce in postal networks, digital transformation, adoption of sustainable logistics practices, and the increasing importance of cybersecurity in maintaining trust and security across postal operations.
