The second black box from the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed near Aktau has been recovered, according to Abylaibek Ordabayev, Transport Prosecutor of the Mangystau Region.
Speaking at a briefing in Aktau, Ordabayev stated, “The two flight recorders retrieved will be handed over to the air accident investigation division for analysis.”
He also noted that survivors and ground service personnel have been questioned, and efforts to identify additional witnesses are ongoing. "The audio of radio chatter between the dispatcher and the crew has been collected," Ordabayev said.
The inspection of the accident site, spanning over 4,000 square kilometers, is nearing completion. Meanwhile, police have intensified security measures in the area.
