The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invested 13 billion euros in various sectors last year,” said EBRD representative Elmin Ibrahimov at the event themed “Azerbaijan and Italy - together for better food production” held in Baku.
He emphasized that EBRD operates in 40 countries, adding that the bank has so far invested in 7,000 projects.
“EBRD has been operating in Azerbaijan for 30 years and is a proactive partner of the government of Azerbaijan. We also have initiatives in the private sector. EBRD has invested in the construction of energy plants, logistics, small and medium businesses. I think today’s event will provide a foundation for our future cooperation. We are ready to review any project,” Ibrahimov added.
