Heydar Aliyev auditorium inaugurated at Pakistan`s top university

In collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Pakistan, the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), one of Pakistan`s top-ranking universities, has unveiled the Heydar Aliyev Auditorium.

The inauguration ceremony saw the participation of Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC) Sitara Ayaz, ambassadors, diplomats, NUST executives and students. Attendees explored the Heydar Aliyev corner at the auditorium`s entrance, providing a visual journey through different periods of the National Leader`s life, including his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The event commenced with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Pakistan, followed by a video highlighting the legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov spoke about the accomplishments of the National Leader during his tenure, emphasizing his unparalleled contribution to maintaining Azerbaijan`s independence. Touching upon Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, the ambassador credited the National Leader for laying the foundation for relations between the two brotherly countries.

Recalling Heydar Aliyev's official visit to Pakistan in 1996, Farhadov emphasized its special role in developing Azerbaijan-Pakistan ties.

Addressing the event, Dr Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector Research, Innovation & Commercialization, hailed the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

He highlighted the university`s existing collaboration with Azerbaijani universities such as ADA and AzTU, solidified through signed memoranda.
