“We would like to recall the UN Security Council resolutions, affirming the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and call for its full respect,” Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General Stéphane Dujarric said at a briefing as he commented on the so-called “presidential elections” held by Armenian separatists in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region.
“The Secretary General urges Armenia and Azerbaijan to intensify efforts towards the long term normalization of relations for the benefit of peace and security in the region,” he added.
