Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan meets with heads of CIS news agencies

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov has received the members of the Council of Heads of CIS news agencies.

Heads and representatives of the news agencies of Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Turkmenistan attended the meeting. Azerbaijan was represented by Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Vugar Aliyev.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov noted that the Council contributed to the development of friendship and good-neighborly relations between nations. He emphasized that the leading CIS news agencies play a key role in maintaining a healthy information environment.

Chairman of the Council, Director General of TASS News Agency Andrey Kondrashov highlighted the agenda of the meeting to be held in Bishkek today.

The next meeting of the Council will be held in Bishkek. Heads of news agencies will discuss upcoming tasks and joint projects.
