A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mammadova spoke with Italian economic and geopolitical expert Domenico Letizia about the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy.

Noting that Italy and Azerbaijan are gradually expanding their cooperation beyond the traditional oil and gas sector, Letizia added that Italian companies are bringing advanced technologies and intellectual potential, facilitating the construction of smart cities and modern infrastructure, including in the liberated territories.

The expert also emphasized that Italy serves as a bridge between Europe and the Caspian region, ensuring efficient energy and commodity supplies.

According to him, investments in new transport routes and undersea cables enabling the delivery of green electricity from the Caspian region offer additional opportunities for strengthening ties between Asia and Europe. Such projects are not only of energy importance, but also of strategic importance, as they foster interdependence between countries and create the basis for long-term peace and stability, Letizia emphasized.
