Azerbaijan has been a reliable energy partner for Europe for many years. Since 2020, it has been exporting large volumes of gas to European markets. Today, Azerbaijan has proven to be reliable a partner in the most difficult times, playing a very important role in ensuring Europe's energy security, which is growing day by day, Nasimi Aghayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany, told journalists.

The ambassador noted that during his keynote address at the traditional annual conference organized by the influential German newspaper Handelsblatt in Berlin, he outlined Azerbaijan's contributions to Europe's energy sector.

Nasimi Aghayev mentioned that Azerbaijan has ample opportunities to increase the volumes of transported gas to Europe, which requires active collaboration and the further expansion of partnerships.

Emphasizing that during the conference he highlighted the steps Azerbaijan is undertaking to develop renewable energy sources, the diplomat said by hosting COP29 last year, the country once again demonstrated its commitment to combating global climate change.
