Orkhan Nazarli, Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with his Moldovan counterpart, Olga Golban, on the sidelines of the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), held in Baku.
Both sides exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of taxation between Azerbaijan and Moldova.
The parties discussed issues of mutual interest in the areas of tax administration, implementation of digital solutions, risk-based tax management approaches, and the improvement of tax control mechanisms.
Head of Azerbaijan’s State Tax Service Orkhan Nazarli noted that the exchange of experience and information can contribute to the sustainable development of the tax systems of both countries.
In her turn, Olga Golban stated that Moldova is interested in the modern approaches and management models implemented in Azerbaijan’s tax system.
The meeting concluded with constructive discussions on the future prospects for cooperation.
