Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the existing economic relations between the two countries, as well as the current state and future prospects of cooperation between their Central Banks.
The two sides then signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at further strengthening relations based on mutual trust and fruitful partnership.
The memorandum provides for the mutual exchange of information on advanced supervision, regulation, and licensing of the financial sector, as well as financial infrastructure systems. It also seeks to enhance technical cooperation through research, studies, and business visits.
