A master class on Azerbaijani winemaking took place at the “Azerbaijan Trade House” in Beijing, the capital of China.
The event was organized with support from the Ministry of Economy, in collaboration with Azerbaijan’s Trade Representative Office in China, the company Sino-Foreign Economic Cooperation (Beijing) Science and Trade Co., Ltd., and the Azerbaijan Trade House.
The master class attracted well-known Chinese wine experts, importers, and representatives of wine companies.
Azerbaijan’s Trade Representative in China, Teymur Nadiroglu, presented detailed information about efforts to promote Azerbaijani winemaking in China. He highlighted Azerbaijan’s rich and ancient winemaking traditions, attributing the unique taste and aroma of its grapes to natural factors such as the mineral composition of the soil and the favorable climate. Nadiroglu also noted that several Azerbaijani wines have received international awards. Emphasizing the goal of expanding sales channels for Azerbaijani wines in China, he expressed hope that these high-quality wines would attract Chinese consumers eager for new experiences.
Renowned wine expert Kevin Dean delivered a presentation on the history, development, and potential of Azerbaijani winemaking. He noted that Azerbaijan’s viticulture has deep roots, evidenced by numerous archaeological artifacts and historical records.
The event also highlighted the high quality of Azerbaijani wines, the use of modern production technologies, and confirmed that Azerbaijani wines meet international standards.
