Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, met with the delegation of Russia’s Tatarstan, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, Oleg Korobchenko.

The meeting focused on the current state of cooperation between energy companies of Azerbaijan and Tatarstan. The sides deliberated opportunities for collaboration in oil and petrochemicals, experience exchange, human capital development, as well as digitalization of energy facilities through modern technologies in electric power, automation of distribution networks, and equipment manufacturing.

They noted that the visit and discussions held would provide impetus to developing bilateral relations, including energy cooperation. The sides voiced their support for mutually beneficial partnership.

The Azerbaijani side was also invited to join the Tatarstan International Forum on Energy and Energy Efficiency, a reputable professional platform for fostering constructive dialogs and sharing of best practice, scheduled in Kazan this April.
