In January-November 2024, the Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum B.V. (JOCAP) produced 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas from the Absheron gas-condensate field in the Caspian Sea, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.
"According to operational data, 1.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 520,000 tons of condensate were produced from the Absheron field during January-November," the ministry stated.
In 2023, JOCAP produced 0.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 300,000 tons of condensate from the Absheron field. Thus, in total, since its commissioning until now, 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas and 820,000 tons of condensate have been produced from the field.
In 2024, gas production within the Phase I development of the Absheron field is expected to reach its peak level of 1.5 billion cubic meters, while condensate production is expected to be at 523,000 tons.
