Kazakhstan is set to export 68.8 million tons of oil in 2024 with crude production forecast to reach 88.4 million tons, Kazakh Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev said addressing the Government Hour at the Majilis, Kazinform News Agency reports.
He said 55.4 million tons of oil will be exported through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, 8.6 million tons via Atyrau-Samara, 3.6 million tons via Aktau port, and 0.05 million tons by rail. Besides, Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of transporting oil through the Baku-Supsa pipeline with a shipping capacity standing at 5 million tons a year. Potential shipment volumes through the pipeline are estimated at 3 million tons a year.
As earlier reported, annual oil production in Kazakhstan is projected to surpass 100 million tons due to the development of large projects.
