Participants of the capital markets of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are expanding cooperation, Report informs via the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).
The BSE delegation made a business visit to the UAE on October 1-4. As part of the visit, meetings were held with the management of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM, Dubai Economic Development Corporation and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
During the meetings, the history and prospects for the development of the capital markets of the two countries, the exchange of experience between the stock markets and areas of cooperation in the near future were discussed.
The BSE delegation also established partnerships with leading investment companies of the UAE, such as Emirates NBD Capital, BHM Capital Financial Services and Nomura Asset Management, in the field of studying Islamic investments, the possibilities of issuing Islamic bonds (sukuk), the activities of market makers and technological advances applied in the capital markets.
