Azerbaijan and Brazil sign landmark agriculture deal to boost trade

Azerbaijan and Brazil have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of agriculture, which aims to foster increased investments and mutual trade between the two nations.

The landmark MoU was signed by Majnun Mammadov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, and his Brazilian counterpart, Carlos Fávaro, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply. The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the G20 Agriculture Ministers' Meeting, highlighting the global significance of this partnership.

"Important issues such as scientific research in agriculture, application of new technologies and innovations, environmental sustainability, inclusive and sustainable transformation of rural areas, provision of access of rural communities to financial and market resources formed the main agenda of meetings held with international organizations within the framework of G20 Brazil," Majnun Mammadov said in a post on X.
