According to operational data for January-August this year, electricity production was 19,235.4 million kWh in Azerbaijan, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on X, Report informs.
Electricity exports in the reporting period were 858.9 million kWh while imports amounted to 125.5 million kWh, the minister said.
“Compared to the same period last year, electricity production amounted to 2771.8 million KWh with a two-fold increase from the renewables, including hydropower. Thus, during this period, the share of green energy in electricity generation reached 14%,” Shahabazov said.
