The Working Group on Economic issues operating under the Interdepartmental Center of the Coordination Headquarters established for addressing issues in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories in a centralized manner held its regular meeting in the city of Khankendi.

Addressing the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Economy and head of the working group Elnur Aliyev emphasized that under President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions, comprehensive programs, large-scale restoration and reconstruction measures, including infrastructure projects are being implemented for the development of the liberated territories.

Elchin Yusubov, Special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, and districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, highlighted the restoration and reconstruction of infrastructure in the residential areas, the return of the population to their homes, as well as the process of employment.

The meeting also saw discussions on increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and ensuring steady employment. Moreover, the relevant tasks were also given to implement the necessary measures.
