“Azerbaijan is the European Union`s very reliable partner. We simultaneously work both on gas and energy transition projects,” said Director of Energy Policy at European Commission Cristina Lobillo Borrero as she addressed the Baku Energy Forum.
"We increased gas import through Azerbaijani and Algerian pipelines. We should undertake further steps and expand domestic infrastructure to purchase new gas resources. Thus, we strive to eliminate our dependence on Russian gas. Our purpose is to show our response to the crisis in Ukraine," Lobillo Borrero emphasized.
