Eleven projects with a total budget of 200,000 manats (about $117,000) have been financed within the grant program of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan for the support and promotion of green business projects, said Rufat Atakishiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, the event titled “Raising Ambition, Delivering Action: COP29 Sustainable Business Forum”, Report informs.
According to Atakishiyev, several startups have already benefited from this grant:
"Those start-ups also received a certificate from us. The certificates also give advantages such as exemption from income tax for innovation activities for 3 years. These start-ups operate in different regions of the country."
