Azerbaijan, Romania discuss gas supply routes

Azerbaijan and Romania held talks on various gas supply and transport routes, Report informs with reference to SOCAR.

 

In this regard, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, and the Romanian Energy Minister, Sebastian Burduja, exchanged views in Baku.

 

The sides highlighted the successful development of energy relations between Azerbaijan and Romania and the significance of the efforts to extend the Southern Gas Corridor.

 

They also mentioned the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Sofia last year by SOCAR, Transgaz (Romania), Bulgartransgaz (Bulgaria), FGSZ (Hungary), and Eustream (Slovakia) to cooperate on the Solidarity Ring initiative as a key step in this direction.

 

Additionally, the parties exchanged views on SOCAR’s operations in the Romanian market, energy transition, digitization, and other topics of common in

terest.
