Discussions took place at the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan on a road map developed to expand cooperation with the World Bank, Report informs, citing the ministry.

The road map was presented during a meeting between First Deputy Minister Elnur Aliyev and World Bank Regional Director for Sustainable Development for Europe and Central Asia, Sameh Wahba.

During the meeting, information was also presented on green and sustainable cities, digitalization, development of the shipbuilding industry, expanding the use of renewable energy sources, employment support, and other projects.

Sameh Wahba expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the World Bank with Azerbaijan, and congratulated the country on hosting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29. He noted that the World Bank is ready to provide support to Azerbaijan regarding the organization of COP29.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on various areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank.
