There is no alternative to resuming transport links between Nakhchivan and the rest of Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the traditional annual press conference, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

Lavrov noted that he didn’t see logic in the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about transit, since there was an agreement to unblock all routes.

Lavrov reminded that the opening of transport links between the countries was one of the points of the trilateral statement. “It is Armenia that is now experiencing difficulties in opening the route, just as it is written in the trilateral statement. It is Armenia that is putting forward new demands with regard to ensuring security along the route,” he noted.
