“The new bicycle lanes in Baku are colored green at road intersections as part of the bike lanes project to enhance cyclist safety,” Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport said in a statement.
According to the Agency, the green-colored bike lane surfacing at the road intersections is a safety feature that tells road users that a portion of the roadway has been set aside for preferential use by cyclists and scooter riders moving in the lane. The pavement marking also warns the micromobility vehicles to be careful ahead.
