In order to enable the use of all types of payment means in Azerbaijan's public transport, improvement work is being carried out on the current non-cash payment system, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rahman Hummatov, said, Report informs.
According to him, after the system is updated, it will be possible to pay using all bank cards and mobile devices that support contactless technology: "From next month, payment by bank card will be tested on several routes. After the tests, it is planned to start the initial implementation of the new payment system at the end of the first quarter of next year."
