The Azerbaijani Embassy in Türkiye has refuted information spread on social networks that Azerbaijani diplomats allegedly became victims of fraud in Türkiye, Report informs referring to the embassy.
Azerbaijani citizens faced financial fraud in Türkiye, but none of them are employees of the embassy or consulates general of Azerbaijan in this country.
The diplomatic mission noted that the victims worked in various international organizations operating in Türkiye.
Several years ago these individuals decided to make financial investments, but suffered losses. "They lost only part of the invested funds. The case is being investigated by Turkish law enforcement agencies," reads the statement.
