As part of the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), which will be held on November 8-9 in Tashkent, issues of further expansion of trade, economic, investment, transport, communications and humanitarian cooperation within the organization will be discussed, according to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan, XQ informs referring to Uzbek media.
The leaders of the ECO member countries will also discuss improving the organization’s activities.
The event, which will be chaired by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is expected to be attended by the heads of state and government of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Türkiye.
As part of the summit program, President Mirziyoyev will hold a number of bilateral meetings.
The ECO was founded in 1985 with a permanent secretariat in Tehran.
