Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy has hosted a meeting with a delegation led by Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission for the country Anna Bordon.
Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli informed about the economy of Azerbaijan, the works carried out within the framework of the “Socio-economic development strategy of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026”, attracting investments in territories liberated from occupation, concessions and incentives applied there. The deputy minister emphasized that within the framework of cooperation with international financial institutions, including the IMF, emphasis is placed on the promotion of progressive experience and technological innovations in Azerbaijan.
Anna Bordon said that mutual relations between the IMF and Azerbaijan are developing and shared her views on partnership.
The parties discussed the medium-term prospects, directions of the energy sector development, recent reforms in the field of tax policy and administration, as well as planned measures for the future.
