Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ACWA Power” company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad A. Abunayyan.
The Azerbaijani Minister said that Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia economic relations have seen a great progress. He stated that energy efficiency and renewable energy sector development are among the main priorities of Azerbaijan against the backdrop of current challenges. Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with Acwa Power in this area.
The meeting discussed the state of implementation of wind power and seawater desalination projects implemented in Azerbaijan, the efficiency of using alternative energy sources and possibilities of implementing potential projects in the field of green energy.
