World Aquatics officials review Baku’s preparation for upcoming “Silk Road tour” for Swimming 2026 World Cup

Officials of the World Aquatics - Namhee Cho, Ben Harris, and Vadim Akhmadiev - have arrived in Azerbaijan to review preparations for the Baku stage of the “Silk Road Tour,” set for October, and to conduct discussions regarding the event organization.

As part of their visit, the World Aquatics representatives visited the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation (ASF), where they met with Secretary General Ogtay Atayev, advisor Rashad Abdurrahmanov, and staff members.

The delegation also inspected the Baku Aquatic Palace, the competition venue, meeting with facility director Ajdar Abbasov and employees, while reviewing organizational preparations on site.

Baku will host the Stop 1 of the Silk Road tour for Swimming World Cup 2026 on October 1–3, followed by stages in Tashkent on October 8–10, and Astana on October 15–17.
