Ajax finally secured their first UEFA Champions League as they came from behind twice to defeat FK Qarabag in Azerbaijan.

Qarabag made the perfect start when Camilo Duran lofted the ball over advancing goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros in the 10th minute.

However, Kasper Dolberg leveled the score six minutes before half-time with a fine 25-yard shot into the corner.

Matheus Silva restored Qarabag’s advantage immediately after the restart with a low deflected effort in the 47th minute.

Qarabag, who are 21st in the standings, level on seven points with Copenhagen in 23rd while Ajax move off the bottom to 33rd on three points.

The Aghdam Horses will host Eintracht Frankfurt on 21 January, before a trip to Liverpool a week later.
