Azerbaijan to host U-17 World Wrestling Championship next year
The U-17 World Wrestling Championship will be held in Baku in 2026.
This decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the United World Wrestling (UWW). Sofia (Bulgaria), Alexandria (Egypt), Amman (Jordan), and Brasov (Romania) were also candidates, but the organization of the event was entrusted to Azerbaijan’s capital.
The world’s strongest youth wrestlers will compete at the National Gymnastics Arena from July 27 to August 2 next year.
A similar event was held in Baku in 2012.
