Azerbaijani schoolchildren claim bronze in world's largest international pre-college science competition

Azerbaijani schoolchildren achieved a remarkable feat by winning a bronze medal at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, the world’s largest international STEM research competition for high school students. The competition was held in Columbus, Ohio, USA, on May 10-16.

Nijat Taghizade, a student of the European Azerbaijan School, and Tural Abdinli, a student of secondary school No. 143 in Baku, earned the bronze in the field of Systems Software.

The Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the world's largest international pre-college science competition. Regeneron ISEF provides an annual forum for more than 1,800 students in grades 9-12 from nearly every state in the U.S. and more than 60 countries, regions and territories to showcase their skills on an international stage.
