Galatasaray defeat Trabzonspor and get closer to Süper Lig title

On Matchday 35 of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Galatasaray secured a crucial 2-0 win over Trabzonspor, taking a major step toward clinching the league title, according to beInSports.

The goals that delivered the golden three points for the yellow-red side came from Abdülkerim Bardakcı in the 66th minute and Spanish striker Álvaro Morata in the 84th.

With this result, Galatasaray rise to 86 points, extending their lead over second-place Fenerbahçe to eight points. With just three matches remaining, Galatasaray will be mathematically crowned champions with just one more point.

Trabzonspor, meanwhile, remain in eighth place with 46 points. Fatih Tekke’s side will visit Sipay Bodrum FK next week.

To close out the season, Galatasaray will host Bellona Kayserispor on Matchday 36, travel to face Göztepe in Round 37, and finish their campaign against Rams Başakşehir in Round 38.
