Lille secures narrow win over Real Madrid

Lille sealed a narrow victory against Real Madrid on matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, according to Anadolu Agency.

Jonathan David converted a penalty kick in first-half stoppage time to help stun the Spanish giants at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Real Madrid are in 17th place with three points and Lille are 18th with three points.

Bayern Munich lost to Aston Villa 1-0 at Birmingham's Villa Park as the goal came from Jhon Duran in the 79th minute.

Playing at Lisbon's Estadio do SL Benfica, Benfica hammered Atletico Madrid with a 4-0 result.

Kerem Akturkoglu broke the deadlock in the 13th minute while Angel Di Maria later doubled the lead.

Alexander Bah made it three in the 75th minute and Orkun Kokcu converted a penalty kick in the 84th minute.

With six points under their belt after two matches in the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund are the league leaders on goal difference ahead of Brest, Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Juventus.
