An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov visited the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana.
As part of the trip, Minister Farid Gayibov attended the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomadic Games, also touring several competition venues.
The minister familiarized himself with the Ethno-Aul, which was launched within the framework of the 5th World Nomadic Games becoming a place for a festival of culture and sports, revealing to the audience a wealth of traditions, including unique Kazakh customs and cultural values.
Minister Gayibov watched the Audaryspack (wrestling on horseback), zhamby atu (horseback archery) and sadak atu (traditional archery) competitions, as well as the bouts of Azerbaijani athletes in Kazakh kuresi wrestling competitions.
Minister Farid Gayibov also met with Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Federation, Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, and Yerbol Myrzabosynov, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan.
