Paris-2024: Azerbaijan ranks 32nd in Paralympic medal standings

The Azerbaijani national team ranked at 32nd place in the medal standings at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.

According to Report, the Azerbaijani national team currently holds 3 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medal.

Thus, Imamaddin Khalilov (parataekwondo, 70 kg), Said Najafzada (T12, long jump), and Lamiya Valiyeva (100-meter race, T13) each won gold medals.

Meanwhile, Raman Salei secured a silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke and a bronze medal in the 100-meter freestyle.

At the same time, Sabir Zeynalov (parataekwondo, 58 kg) and Vali Israfilov (100-meter breaststroke) both won bronze medals.

China leads the medal table with 74 gold, 55 silver, and 37 bronze medals. The UK is second with 36 gold, 29 silver, and 19 bronze, followed by the US with 27 gold, 33 silver, and 12 bronze.

The Paralympics will conclude on September 8.
