Azerbaijan’s football club Zira has reached the UEFA Conference League play-off round for the first time in its history after beating Croatia’s NK Osijek in a dramatic penalty shootout, winning 2-1.
Goalkeeper Tiago Silva emerged as Zira’s hero of the night, saving four of Osijek’s penalties after the match ended 3-3 on aggregate.
Zira will face Omonoia from Cyprus in the play-off round.
