The Azerbaijan men’s basketball team picked up a 56:50 victory over Malta to make it through the semifinal in Group A of the FIBA U16 EuroBasket, Division C.
On the way to semifinal, the team lost to hosts Albania and notched up a triumph over Moldova. The matches were played in Albania.
The Azerbaijan women’s basketball team also progressed to the semifinal in Group A of the FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket 2024, Division C, after securing impressive wins over the rival teams. The girls’ matches were played in Gibraltar.
