Mark Koganov, vice-president of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation, was presented with the Water Sports Award of the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF), Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation.
The ceremony took place at the ISHOF Honoree Induction headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
Mark Koganov started his water polo career in 1982-1990 as a member of the Azerbaijan national team. He later became a water polo referee and has officiated nearly 300 international games, including 6 NCAA men's and women's finals, and more than 1,500 collegiate games in various US conferences since 1998.
Koganov has worked in numerous positions in water sports, including director of water polo competitions, manager of water competitions, as well as in administrative positions in this sport.
